Short description: |
By attending Concrete Structures II course You may learn about more complicated reinforced structures like frames constructed of beams, columns and foundation footings. |
Full description: |
Main goals of learning Concrete Structures I is to understand: the rules of structural design and detailing of typical reinforced concrete elements subjected to axial forces with bending, torsion elements, partially loaded areas or punching shear elements and rules for shaping, calculation and detailing of typical reinforced concrete elements and structures in buildings |
Bibliography: |
1) Eurocodes; 2) EUROCODE 2 WORKED EXAMPLES. European Concrete Platform ASBL, May 2008; 3) L.H. Martin, J.A. Purkiss: Concrete Design to EN 1992. Butterworth-Heinemann, Second Edition 2006 |
Learning outcomes: |
Student know: how to calculate and construct the reinforcement of concrete eccentrically loaded members and to shape, calculate and construct selected typical reinforced concrete structure |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Project of reinforced concrete structure which includes calculations and drawings |
